Recording: How to Redefine and Reimagine the Power of Resilience and Improve Student-Athlete Mental Well-Being

With the mental health crisis rising, we can no longer deny the many challenges facing student-athletes, including personal hardships, financial constraints, social influences, performance expectations, and the pressure to shake it off, suck it up, or power through. Now is the time for athletic departments to take a timeout and take action against this ongoing problem – but how?

As a prominent leader in collegiate athletics, you play a critical role in nurturing student-athletes and fostering the environment in which they learn, grow, perform, and excel. In our first webinar of a three-part series, we’ll be joined by leading experts on student-athlete mental health.

What we discuss:

  • Underlying causes of the student-athlete mental health crisis
  • Redefining and reimagining the power of resilience
  • Creating an environment of mental wellness that encourages help-seeking behaviors
  • Identifying and implementing preventative measures to protect student-athlete mental health

We know student-athletes are in need of more comprehensive support and greater access to mental health resources and services, but this is only made possible when we equip athletic leaders with the right tools, resources, and programs to be able to identify mental health needs, respond appropriately, and connect student-athletes to the right type of care at the right time. RSVP to the event today – and follow us on LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook to learn about the next webinar.
